I just couldn't fall asleep. I remember 6:00am so it was some time after that. I woke up at 10ish. It is hard to sleep late on this cruise. There are so many announcements.
I went to breakfast at the buffet again and ran in to Lynnette.
I decided not to go into port today. I went and got my bathing suit on instead. I hung out by the pool all day and read. I went in the hot tub. It was nice to just relax.
I took a nap before dinner.
Thea, Janet and I were joined by Joan from California for tonight's dinner at Le Bistro. Le Bistro is the French restaurant and it my favorite on board place to eat.
I had the Coquilles St Jacques Provençal, the Escargot Bourguignonne, and the Gratine A L'Oignon to start. Translated seared scallops with tomatoes and pine nuts, escargot (snails) in garlic butter, and French Onion Soup. Everything was delightful.
I ordered both the beef tenderloin and the roast rack of lamb. The beef comes with Roquefort cheese potato gratin which already knew I don't like. The roasted lamb was served with artichoke, zucchini and tomatoes. The meat of both dishes is delicious. They just need to work on the sides.
Dessert! We each ordered Creme Brûlée, Yummy! We also ordered fruit with chocolate fondu and profiteroles for the table to share. Chocolate yum, pineapple yum, lemon profiteroles yum!
Thea and I at dinner
Janet, Thea and I walked around the ship killing time till the Spanish Ballet show on the ship. Let me tell you this show was really bad. The venue was awful. It was in a comedy club set up with tall bar chairs and the postage stamp of a stage was not elevated. If you are watching dance you need to be able to see the dancers feet. We could barely see their heads. The ballet itself was more like Flamenco and not good Flamenco. There were 3 girls and 1 guy, a lot of posturing and not a lot of talent. We left half way through.
Cute towel animals.
