Today must be the start of a heat wave because it was just broiling outside this afternoon.
I only did 8 km to day because it felt like my feet were on fire.
If I wrote a book on the camino it would probably be about the bugs and flowers. It would sell like one copy, only my parents would buy it.
I stopped in Cirauqui at the quaint Albergue Zirauki. I tried to take a nap to catch up on some San Fermin sleep but the land lady woke me up. She wanted to know if I wanted dinner. Well I guess, since I'm awake. Good thing too because it was the best pilgrim meal yet: a salad of lettuce farm tomatoes an olives, pasta with olive oil mushrooms and onions, pork medallions in tomato sauce, and vanilla pudding for dessert. I enjoyed the company of a young guy from Slovakia and a retired British lady living in France.
I shared a room with a boy traveling with his dad and dad's girlfriend. The dad and girlfriend had met on the Camino last year and dad had promised to take his son someday. So they were hiking a few days of it on vacation. Well the Daft Punk song Get Lucky his popular here but I think the realm meaning is lost in translation... Anyway the boy who is like 12 was singing it and commented about how he "gets lucky" everyday because yesterday he found one dent and today the were going to the pool. This kid was just so positive.
I was lucky today because I found one cent too and an almond that fell off a tree that I cracked open all by myself.
